Current Projects
The mayor’s current priorities include:
  • Paducah School for the Arts — work with West Kentucky Community & Technical College to develop an art school in a renovated historic LowerTown building

  • USEC — secure longevity of industry and workers

  • Riverfront Project — develop docking services and amenities

  • Retail Growth — develop additional downtown and suburban retail establishments, both national chains and locally owned businesses

  • GPEDC — support growth of new and existing industry

  • Barkley Regional Airport — support new flights and a new terminal

  • Riverfront Hotel and Convention Center — secure viable, sustainable downtown hotel accommodations and meeting space

  • River Heritage Museum — develop Phase II of the museum expansion

  • Seamen’s Church Institute — incorporate new maritime training simulator

  • County/Regional Initiatives — provide city support for Riverport West Industrial Complex, Kentucky Lock project, Purchase Area Regional Industrial Park, I-66 and I-69 highway development, Murray State University/Paducah campus, Paducah-McCracken County Joint Sewer Agency, DOE cleanup, MAQS national museum designation
